Remembering sahabat on 1-Rejab

Kebelakangan ini, hati begitu sayu sekali.   I sometimes get emotional for no apparent reasons, entahlah kenapa sekarang boleh jadi che'ngeng. Banyak perkara berligar di benak fikiran, anak-anak, suami, tugas pejabat ....

Dalam kesyahduan ini, Yati sent me a short email yesterday saying that she is terharu for the help I rendered to lighten her problem with her ex-SIL. She said that she will always remember the day, as yesterday was 1-Rejab. Yati is one of my close friend.  We have known each other since Sec 1, way back in 1975.  We have certainly come a long way, haven't we? From our childhood days, through our blossoming youth (Alhamdullillah without serious damages) and then into the roles of a wife, and then a mother.  Those were certainly the days!!!  She is a very quiet and reserved person, blessed with two gorgeous kids.  She got married eight years after me, on the same day though, 7-October.

Her short email has indeed triggered back old fond memories... I have never imagine that one day after thirty-over years of friendship, we will be taking the journey to the Holy land together.  InsyaAllah...

May Allah Ta'ala let us reach 10-Rejab and grant us the ability to spend it in a manner most pleasing to Him.  Amin...

Happy birthday my dear....

16th June 2009

Today is your birthday... and that makes it a special day for me, too!  Because you're a very special person in my life.  Each memory is special, and each one make me look forward to spending many more good times together in the days and years ahead.  I find myself thinking of many good memories we have shared... happy times when we laughed our way through and troubled times when you helped me just by being there!  You're my knight and shining armour... I love you...Bang!

Bali.... here I come

Hooray...I'm in Bali now.

We arrived here yesterday night at 11pm.  So far, things went smoothly as planned. Weather is nice... very windy.

This is my first trip to this tradition-rich island and I think I like this place. The resort we stayed is very nice, styled in a typical Balinese concept.

Tomorrow, we will drive to Kintamani, a village with a volcano. I'm so excited because we will drive through the country side with miles of terrace rice field.

OK for now, I will post some pictures when I get home on Tuesday.

Cheers from Bali.
