Another lampshade project

This morning we gave a miss to our weekly class at Darul Makmur mosque.  So, I have the whole day to myself, free to do things I like. However, as hubby is at home today, it means that I cannot do my sewing as he hates the noise. So, sewing is out of bound today.

What’s old is new!  Yes, I managed to re-cycle another one of my old lampshade by covering it with a new fabric. This time round I'm using a white lace fabric to go over a cream linen as a background lining. With some trimmings added to it, I've got a brand new lampshade.

I'm pretty happy with the finished result.  Might look good in my dining hall this coming Eid.

Project menjelang Ramadhan

Yesterday my other-half was so busy entertaining my annual request of wall-drilling. You see, this kind of request can only be fullfilled around this time of the year.  Tak tahu kenaper, other time he simply ignored me.  Anyway, since he's in a good mood, I take no chances and start giving instruction.  He fixed-up two shelves for my over-flow chinas. I didnt realise that I have so much until all are displayed. In actual fact, there are more ... aper nak jadi.  Here are some pictures of the china that I took out from the cabinet.  Now the cabinet is almost empty, ready to fill-up with the newly acquired Connoiseurs.

All the old pictures where I used to hang on this wall has been moved to another wall near the day bed. Oh yes, I've painted all the frames into white too, using the left-over paint.

Next project? Hmm.... tengah pikir skarang, nak buat aper pulak eh.
