Welcome to my sewing 'studio'...

It has been an exciting week for me as a small corner in between my bedrooms had been discovered, which allows me to have my own permanent sewing space after a long wait!

Since I've founded this corner, I've been busy working on it. Originally, there was a cu[board full of photo albums sitting here. I spent the whole of Monday afternoon, shifting it to an empty wall infront of Sarah's room and moving other stuff around.

Now this space is empty and ready to be groomed for my babies! 

I decided the first thing would be to repaint and papering half of the wall to brighten-up the area. So, the whole Tuesday afternoon were spent doing all this stuff.

On Wednesday, I'm off to IKEA store with Nosha in search of table, shelves, lamp & some other stuff. And also to DAISO for some plastic containers to keep my sewing stuff. Thank you my dear friend for driving me around. It was a fruitful shopping trip as I got all the stuff I needed. Yey....

IKEA came to deliver and fix the wonderful table on Friday. And Mr Hub fixed the two shelves on Sunday. Thanks dear.

Hmm... just a sneek peek of my 'studio' getting into shape.

So, this is my space! 

Notice the two baskets on the top shelf? Its empty now but they are intended for my scraps and trimmings. The second shelf are lined with transparent plastic boxes where I keep my colourful pompom, cords and zippers. The two small baskets on the left are for threads and bobbins. Frameworks on the wall are added simply to give some colours to the area. By the way, those are scrap fabric that I framed many months ago. On the right side of the table is a drawer where I keep my shears and cutters.

And there's a little cupboad below the drawer where I keep my favourite fabric. As a matter of fact, I just finished the skirting for the table yesterday. This is a good way to hide those ugly cables underneath. Oh... look at the red lamp, it really gives me the extra light I needed for my sewing and as you know this corner has no windows.

And now, let me do some introduction ....

These are my two babies, 23 year old Riccar and 21 year old Happy. I use Riccar most of the time and was very pleased with her until two months ago when she was suffering some electrical faults, but now she has a new gear and she's behaving very well ever since. Happy is a serger, and recently suffered some electrical problems too.  Unfortunately, she's still not recovering well even after the servicing. "Dear Happy, mummy is not very happy with you....please get well soon"

This space makes me feel nested & endlessly inspired...And I'm loving it!

Ariel Sharon dalam neraka dunia, sudah 5 tahun koma

Semua kita tahu mengenai cerita Kamal Artaturk yang mati secara terhina sehingga bumi tidak menerimanya. Namun manusia terus berani menentang Allah. Terbaru Allah buktikan kekuasaannya seperti berlaku di zaman Firaun dan Qarun yg mana kedua mereka mati dalam keaiban.

Ariel Sharon telah banyak merosakkan bumi Palestin. Banyak air mata yang mengalir kerana kezalimannya dulu. Hari ini, Ariel Sharon bagaikan mayat hidup selepas 5 tahun koma. Sehinggakan media di seluruh dunia malu untuk menerbitkan gambar keadaannya. Kini Ariel Sharon yg berusia 82 tahun dikatakan mempunyai berat sekitar 15 kg sahaja.

Doktor yg merawatnya mengatakan Ariel Sharon akan terus koma sehingga 90 tahun. Dia dirawat di Hospital Hadassah di Jerussalem dan kemudian di Chaim Sherba Medical Center. Difahamkan Sharon telah dimasukkan ke bilik pembedahan untuk menyambung bahagian ususnya yg membusuk dan merebak ke seluruh bahagian lain.

Beliau dah jadi umpama mumia firaun. Terpenjara dalam jasad yang sudah membusuk. Subhanallah... ambillah pengajaran daripadanya agar kita terus bertakwa dan beriman kepada Allah... Amin...

My dream sewing studio

I love to peek inside other folks creative sewing spaces. They are so conducive and look very inspiring where your brain will automatically produce the best juice ever.

For me, I did my sewing project in my bedroom. Yes, let me repeat, it’s in my BEDROOM. And let me tell you, nothing is more frustrating than having to drag out your sewing machine and supplies every time the creative bug strikes. And worst, while the bug busily striking, the master is coming home from work and need his bedroom to look like a bedroom.  Oh dear.... how I hate packing-up everything when the mood is at the peak!

By the way, last week I’ve been thinking very hard about finding a permanent space at our home for my sewing. Finally, I got one! I’m so.... happy and can’t wait to do-up that tiny-whinny space. That’s the reason, why I’m peeking into people’s sewing studio lately. Anyway, with that XS size space, I don’t think I need a sewing station with computer setups or ergonomic cutting table and such. It will just be a plain old school creative corner!

My mission is to create a work space that is functional and inspiring. Yes! so long I have a proper place to do my sewing, I'm a happy woman. Alhamdulillah...

 Oooohhh.... next week will be a fun & busy week
